A national seminar was held in Rabat to present the results of a comparative study on the territorialization of Morocco's National Immigration and Asylum Strategy (SNIA).

The study, conducted in the regions of Oriental, Souss-Massa, Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, and Béni Mellal-Khénifra, aimed to highlight achievements, best practices, and challenges, while contributing to the strengthening of a territorialized, coherent, and inclusive migration governance.

The study emphasizes the growing role of local authorities and local actors in implementing migration policies that facilitate access to essential services and socio-economic inclusion for migrants.

Among the best practices identified, the Oriental region stands out for its access to basic services, Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima for its intercultural dialogue initiatives and access to vocational training, and Souss-Massa for the mobilization of its territorial actors around migration issues.

Over the past few years, 50,000 migrants have been regularized, and nearly 5,000 migrants have been enrolled in vocational training centers through flexible procedures.

The Moroccan government has adopted a human rights-based approach, treating migrants and refugees as development actors and partners, entitled to benefit from social programs and services.

The seminar, supported by the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation (AECID) and the COMPASS program funded by the Netherlands, brought together ministers, diplomats, representatives from the four concerned regions, and public and private sector actors to reinforce coordination between national, territorial, and international partners.

The seminar highlights Morocco's leadership in implementing the SNIA and its balanced approach between managing flows and protecting rights.

This approach positions Morocco as a pioneer in implementing the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly, and Regular Migration and as a strong interlocutor in international cooperation dynamics.

The seminar's outcome is crucial for Morocco's economic and stock market development, as it demonstrates the country's commitment to creating a favorable business environment for foreign investors.

The regularization of 50,000 migrants and the enrollment of nearly 5,000 in vocational training programs are significant steps towards socio-economic inclusion and contribute to the country's economic growth.

This development is expected to have a positive impact on the Moroccan stock market, as it reflects the government's efforts to create a stable and attractive investment climate.
