Under the Royal Instructions of King Mohammed VI, the Prime Minister, Aziz Akhannouch, inaugurated the Moroccan Pavilion at the 61st International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale 2026 on Friday.
On this occasion, Mr.

The project 'Asǝṭṭa' by artist Amina Agueznay and curator Meryem Berrada represents Morocco at this major art exhibition, which will animate the city of the Doges until next November.
The Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication had organized a call for projects for the design, production, and realization of an exhibition at the Royal Pavilion, marked by the participation of 29 national artist and curator applications.
The selected project was designated after the deliberations of the jury chaired by Mr.
Qotbi.
This artistic project reflects the plural richness of Moroccan heritage and its contemporary resonances, valuing artisanal skills as vectors of narration, in perfect resonance with the general theme of this edition: 'In Minor Keys'.
The participation of the Kingdom in this 61st Venice Biennale represents a unique opportunity to highlight the richness and diversity of Moroccan artistic creation, while inscribing itself in a global dialogue on the mutations and innovations of contemporary art.
Founded in 1895, the Venice Art Biennale is one of the most prestigious events in the international art scene.
