The Association of Independent Radios and Televisions (ARTI) announced on Thursday the appointment of Nawfel Raghay as General Director.

This designation marks a new step in the internal organization of ARTI, which aims to strengthen its means of action in the face of rapid transformations in the private audiovisual landscape in Morocco.

This decision is in line with the orientations adopted during the General Assembly of January 23, 2026, and within the framework of the 2026-2028 action plan of the association.

ARTI intends to open a more structured phase in the coordination of its work, the follow-up of its priorities, and the implementation of its main projects.

The media sector is evolving in a deeply disrupted environment.

Usages are changing quickly, international digital platforms are exerting increasing pressure, economic and advertising models are being reconfigured, while artificial intelligence is taking an increasingly important place in the modes of production and dissemination of content.

For ARTI, these mutations call for a more solid collective action among professionals in the sector.

The association emphasizes the need to strengthen the innovation capacity of national actors and to defend the place of Moroccan media in a more competitive digital universe.

Younes Boumehdi, President of ARTI, stated that the appointment of Nawfel Raghay responds to the will to equip the association with a permanent operational capacity.

According to him, this new organization should enable ARTI to accompany its priorities over time, support its work, strengthen institutional dialogue, and accelerate collective projects in the service of members.

Nawfel Raghay, a graduate of the École Mohammadia d'Ingénieurs and holder of a master's degree in audiovisual from the American University of Washington, has a career closely linked to the national media ecosystem.

His experience covers regulation, institutional management, public audiovisual, and private media direction.

He participated, within the High Authority of Audiovisual Communication, in the phase of liberalization of the sector.

He then held strategic management positions at the National Society of Radio and Television, the National Commission for the Control of Personal Data Protection, and the HACA.

He also directed Chada Media Group, which he represented within ARTI.

The association intends to rely on this trajectory to conduct its strategic roadmap, prepare its advocacy files, pilot its priority projects, and develop useful cooperations for the private audiovisual sector.

The displayed objective remains to consolidate the presence of these actors in the national media landscape.

With this appointment, ARTI confirms its ambition to strengthen its organization and its role as a professional interlocutor with institutions, regulators, and economic partners.

It inscribes this evolution in a broader approach of structuring, innovation, and adaptation to sector mutations, in the service of professional, proximal, and pluralist information.

ARTI brings together private audiovisual actors in Morocco.

It intervenes in the representation of the sector, its upgrading, and the defense of its interests, within a regular dialogue with institutions, regulatory bodies, and other components of the media landscape.
