The meeting allowed Mr.

Andrew Giuliani to highlight his full availability, as well as that of the US authorities, to closely collaborate with Morocco in order to make the 2026 and 2030 events 'two great successes', called upon to further reinforce the exemplarity of a bilateral alliance of exception.

The Moroccan ambassador to the United States, Youssef Amrani, had meetings in Washington with the Executive Director of the White House Working Group for the 2026 World Cup, Andrew Giuliani, a meeting that reflects both a strong interest in cooperation and the historical friendship linking the Kingdom and the United States.

Mandated by President Donald Trump, Andrew Giuliani leads what promises to be the largest global sporting event, scheduled from June 11 to July 19 in the United States, as well as in Mexico and Canada.

A true conductor of this major event, he embodies the focal point and the keystone of a complex and hierarchical architecture, set up under the leadership of the President and the Vice-President of the United States, in order to ensure the welcome in the best conditions of millions of supporters from all over the world, including the supporters of the Atlas Lions.

The strategic exchange with Morocco constitutes, in the words of the American official, a priority and a federating commitment.

The first country to have recognized the independence of the United States, the Kingdom also stands out as a future host country, alongside Spain and Portugal, of the 2030 World Cup, thus taking over from the 2026 edition.

The Executive Director of the White House Working Group expressed his admiration for the Moroccan model propelled by a clear-sighted Royal Vision, putting sport at the service of development.

The meeting allowed Mr.

Giuliani to highlight his full availability, as well as that of the US authorities, to closely collaborate with Morocco in order to make the 2026 and 2030 events 'two great successes', called upon to further reinforce the exemplarity of a bilateral alliance of exception.

These meetings, also marked by the presence of the Director of International Affairs at the US Department of Homeland Security, Simon Bland, echo a broader commitment from Washington to coordinate, collaborate and build with Morocco efficient operational approaches so that each other's experiences can benefit all.

A commitment all the more marked as this 2026 edition of the World Cup will experience spectacular attendance, with 5 million tickets already sold and the number of requests for tickets having exceeded 500 million since the launch of the first phase of sales by FIFA in January 2026.

For his part, Mr.

Amrani highlighted that this global sporting event represents a 'window open to the vitality, depth and determination of an alliance, but above all of an unbreakable friendship between the Kingdom of Morocco and the United States of America'.

He noted that 'the immense joy for Morocco to host the 2030 World Cup is all the more pronounced by the fact that the Kingdom will take over from an edition 2026 organized by our American partners, even as we celebrate this year the 250th anniversary of our bilateral relations'. 'The first country to have recognized the independence of the United States, Morocco continues to build, in football as in diplomacy, a very beautiful history, crossing the paths of two allies linked by time and heart', he said.

The ambassador also congratulated the close contacts already engaged with the US authorities, particularly in the field of security, recalling that the Kingdom has been nominated for the 2026 World Cup.
