Casablanca Stock Exchange: MASI Falls 1.23% for the Week

The Casablanca Stock Exchange closed in a mixed tone on Thursday, ahead of a public holiday, with market indices trading on a downward trend.

The benchmark index, MASI, fell 0.62% to 18,583.53 points, widening its year-to-date underperformance to -1.39%.

On a weekly basis, the performance stood at -1.23%.

In line with this trend, the MASI 20, which comprises the largest market capitalizations, declined by -0.84% to 1,356.02 points.

Trading volume remained limited at 215.8 million dirhams, with Managem leading the pack, accounting for 26 million dirhams at 13,800 dirhams, after reaching an intraday high of 13,970.00 dirhams.

Attijariwafa Bank (-0.41%) was not far behind, totaling 25 million dirhams at 696.00 dirhams.

The market capitalization fell to 1.063 trillion dirhams.

Ennakl topped the list of gainers, rising 8.44% to 56.90 dirhams.

Disway also gained 3.73% to 802.90 dirhams.

Conversely, Microdata suffered the largest decline, falling 9.87% to 676 dirhams.

It is worth noting that MASI has, however, posted a monthly gain of 8.29% for the month of April.
